About Constance Burns, Msed.
I have been developing instructional design/learning design materials as an independent contractor since 2017. I have a 20+ year career in information technology and specialize in creating online training programs for IT job skills. Since 2021, I have been under multiple consecutive contracts with Google and Coursera (via Synergis and WAI). My current contract with Google/Synergis involves updating and expanding Google's IT Apprenticeship programs in NYC and Austin, TX. Previously, I helped Google's education teams add learning materials on AI for multiple Google Professional Certificates on the Coursera platform. This work involved writing technical content, consulting as an IT technical subject matter expert, and designing instructional and learning materials. I am passionate about studying the neuroscience of learning and researching new methods for incorporating Universal Design principles into learning programs. I have knowledge, skills, and experience in designing for accessibility, learner-centric design, eLearning, educational software design and development, UX/UI, computer arts, STEM / STEAM education, artificial intelligence (AI), Internet of things (IoT), makerspace projects, bilingual/ESL education (hablo español), and more!
