I have successfully established myself as a strategic business leader, one that understands the challenges of business management whilst willing to contribute to supporting the development for others.Leading Markfi gates for the last 15+ years, I have taken the business to new heights through strong strategic leadership and business direction. Successfully increasing the business income and profitability, I focused my development on relationships and the overall reputation of the products and services. Controlling all aspects of operational, marketing and business strategy, I have led the team to focus more on establishing goals and strategies and how to attain these. I have mentored and coached others to enhance their own capabilities, allowing them the opportunity of growing in a unique business model. Understanding the important of risk in strategic leadership, I have developed a culture of risk understanding and awareness. The business facilitates regular audits against risks and develops controls to mitigate this for the business. This has included removing risk associate to client and supplier dependencies.Prior to my own business, I have undertaken a number of leadership roles in Australia and internationally. From 1996 I worked as the General Manager for the Enterprise Banking Division of Southern Bank in Berhad. This role relied on my ability to drive innovation and I was a key player in the delivery of a wholesale banking system that was awarded for it’s success in 2000, winning the Asian Bankers 2000 award. Further back in my career I consulted across strategic planning and governance for a group of 5 construction and automotive supply businesses. This period allowed me to enhance my leadership across internal governance whilst assisting the owner of the 5 companies increase their own awareness of business growth, viability and management.I am a passionate Executive and Business Leader with strong management capabilities and demonstrated success across all aspects of operational leadership and planning.

  Markfi Gates has been grown in to a $10 million+ dollar annual turnover with a team of 30+ across core business functions. Recognised leader in the industry sector commended for the delivery of quality services with products now marketed across Vic, NSW, SA and Tasmania. Throughout this time my core focus has been on a number of key issues including:- Held full accountability for the development of the operational, marketing, and business strategies to increase growth and business success. Developed the overall structure of the business to address issues across sales, marketing, manufacturing, administration and human resources.- Worked closely with the existing business to understand the product lines and the overall development of products to take to market. Analysed product lines to determine marketability and worked to deliver the overall product lifecycle strategy. - Directed the growth of the business through increasing brand awareness, product alignment and developing the overall reputation of the brand. Established an improved culture that focused on developing relationships with clients built on trust and quality of customer service. - Provided leadership to the various unit managers as well as the team members. Prepared strategies including assessing reliance on single income streams and developing a supplier panel to ensure contingencies for revenue and supply.
