- Licensed by CAA with EGHF as a validated unit - Responsible for providing information useful for the effective, safe and efficient conduct of flights using the Airport and the associated ATZ, including emergency alerting service and other airport operational support services- Give instructions to aircraft taxiing on the ground, including permission to cross active runway - Enter and maintain data on airport operational system of all aircraft movements - Carry out runway inspection and other duties to support the airport safeguarding requirement

- Act as a pseudo-pilot providing a realistic service to trainee and qualified air traffic controllers by verbally responding to instructions as well as input of aircraft commands into a touch screen computer

- Provide A/G radio communication services to aircraft within the ATZ- Manage flight booking system according to instructors, students and aircrafts availabilities- Maintain a good record on aircraft tech log and engine logbooks- Operate on the airfield reception dealing with enquiries from trial lessons through to hangar customers- Ensure booking out details are logged efficiently and accurately- Move aircrafts in and out of hangars- Provide Fire & First Aid cover for the airfield- Aircraft refueling- Handle lessons, fuel and landing fee payments and other basic accounting processes using Sage

At the Control centre, worked as a Flight Data Operator and responsible for the followings:• Processing flight data and ICAO flight plans received via the AFTN system • Ensuring flight plans comply to ICAO DOC 4444 format requirements and all flight plan routes filed adhered to the Hong Kong AIP before processing into system• Alerting and seeking approval from supervisors in case of special flight plans (e.g. military flights, flight plan that files typhoon avoidance route, training flights/ test flights) • Distributing flow restrictions information imposed by adjacent ACC to appropriate parties• Delivering administrative support in general At the Tower, work at Aerodrome Control Assistant and responsible for the followings:• Assisting aerodrome controllers on receiving tow requests and delivering those tow instructions on the frequency in Chinese• Ensuring the glide path sensitive areas are protected when the corresponding runway is in use• Issuing and updating ATIS on a half hourly basis and when appropriate (e.g. runway change, change in runway surface conditions, runway closure/ single runway operation during night operation) • Activating departure flight plans through the Tower Electronic Flight Strip System by selecting appropriate runway and make strip distribution to Clearance Delivery Controller• Confirming parking stands of inbound/outbound aircraft with Apron when necessary• Assisting aerodrome supervisor in performing alerting action to the fire department, airport police control room and apron during local standby, other aircraft emergencies or accidents• Distributing NOTAMs that require FIS’s attention regarding free balloons, active Danger Areas etc.
