Led in-house department composed of Content Development, Creative Services, Corporate Communications, and Meetings & Conventions functions in developing and executing external and internal communication strategies for B. Braun in North America. Key areas of oversight: brand management, production of marketing collateral, ad creation and media buying, convention activities, content and operations of digital platforms, vendor management, executive communications support, media/public relations, and employee/HR communications. • Restructured department and redefined roles and responsibilities, expanding the strategic value of communications and enhancing collaboration; developed workload dashboard, increasing transparency.• Introduced new workflows and standardized procedures—including instituting a strategic media buying process and managing an initiative to overhaul the approval process—improving productivity and quality.• Managed rebranding activities to meet new global brand standards, negotiating solutions to U.S. legal and regulatory issues when necessary. Served as primary U.S. contact for global communications initiatives.• Provided support for key product sales and product launches, including the company’s first direct to consumer outreach and first branded pharmaceutical. • Oversaw the development of product and issue websites and sales apps, and instituted the company’s first social media employee policy and use of social media advertising, expanding digital presence to support branding and sales.• Directed improvements to activities that support more than 150 scientific conferences/trade shows annually, increasing strategic exposure, improving lead follow up, eliminating manual work, and reducing cost. • Developed strong partnerships with Legal, Medical Affairs, and Regulatory colleagues, as well as German communications counterparts, to negotiate solutions to communications issues that met the needs of the business while limiting risk.
