After starting my career as a shipmechanic apprentice at Hapag Lloyd, I succeeded in January 2012 and worked as a shipmechanic on bord of the CMV DRESDEN EXPRESS. I maintained the auxillary machinery in the engine room. additionally I was responsible for the site keeping. After my limited contact ended, I joined the "Schlepp- & Fährgesellschaft Kiel" tug boat company and gathered a few offshore experiences. Such as towing docks and pontoons, as well as supporting vessels going into the locks or transiting Kiel canal. At the beginning of 2013 I changed the type of vessel again and started working as engine assistant for AIDA cruises on the AIDA DIVA. I worked in a watch system together with the watch engineer and supported him in maintaining the watch and machinery such as main engines, evaporators, reverse osmosis, stabilisers and boilers. In the summer of 2014 I applied at Fachhochschule Flensburg as bachelor student of sea traffic, nautic and logistics. To bridge the time until the beginning semester in autumn I became service technician for gambling automats of Gauselmann. And for Bandai Namco devices on cruise ships of MSC. 2017 after successfully finishing my bachelor thesis, I started working for Hapag Lloyd again. This time as a nautical officer.In the summer of 2020 I was suddenly and unexpected promoted. Since then I'm having a great time on board. Due to COVID19 restrictions I do have loads of time to gather experience.
