As a college student with no job and little flexibility due to class scheduling I was looking for a way to make money on my own schedule so I could support my hobbies. I had been importing old wheels from Japan and rebuilding them myself because I was too cheap to pay someone to do it and many of the big name companies that offer this service had very poor business practices. After doing this for about 2 years I learned a lot of specialized skills and gained a lot of confidence that allowed me to efficiently rebuild these wheels. A lot of friends were asking me to help them find wheels and if I could build them for them as they were tired of dealing with a lot of the big name companies as well. This is when I decided to start JPWheelsupplies. I offer importing and sourcing not only Japanese wheels but all sorts of Japanese car parts, rebuilding and complete refinishing these wheels to the customers desired specifications, and many other services I have acquired the skills for through working on my own cars. Because of this I am also able to offer services such as simple scheduled maintenance, aftermarket and replacement parts installs, and even body work.Since starting this little wheel refinishing/automotive service company I have learned a multitude of new skills including...-Managing cash inflows and outflows along with all expenses and finances -Creating a platform on social media to market and sell my products and services -Creating original products specifically tailored for the customer-Working with customers on a personal basis and learning their needs and buying patterns-Using that knowledge to find what best fits my customer, ultimately leading to a sale-Practicing outstanding customer service to secure repeat customers

In this position I practiced a variety of roles including but not limited to...-Making sales through in depth product knowledge and customer engagement -keeping sales floor stocked with merchandise as well as creating sales displays -Greeting Customers along with helping them find what they need throughout the store-answering all questions with accurate information-making sales through cross selling productsI also left with a lot of valuable information that I am able to practice and incorporate into desired future positions.
