Experienced R&D formulation scientist in sterile pharmaceutical forms (ophthalmic and parenteral).Strong academic research background in Drug Discovery as postdoctoral researcher at the National Hellenic Research Foundation. My scientific activities were initiated at the National Hellenic Research Foundation (NHRF) in 2003, after obtaining my Chemistry degree from the University of Athens. In the framework of collaboration between the NHRF and the Chemistry department (University of Athens), I obtained my master's degree (2006) and then my PhD in 2009. For the period 2010 - 2015 I was employed as postdoctoral researcher at the Institute of Biology, Medicinal Chemistry and Biotechnology (nowadays known as Institute of Chemical Biology) of NHRF. My research field was focused mainly on Computational Chemistry and NMR spectroscopy towards Drug Discovery. My expertise was further expanded during short-term visits to collaborating research groups in Italy and Slovenia. Since 2016, I am member of Cloudpharm, a cloud-based R&D startup with its core business being the design and development of novel biotechnological products based on natural compounds.From 2018 until now, I belong to the Galenical team of R&D department of RAFARM. The area of my expertise comprises the design, implementation and reporting of studies, related to formulation and process development of ophthalmic and injectable complex drug products for the US market.
