I have worked during the last 18 years in the development field, being a social entrepreneur and strategist. I have had the opportunity to found organizations, national advocacy coalitions, and lead the development of national and international legislation/policies in the fields of digital economy and social development. My focus for the last years has been on AI for humanity and biodiversity conservation. I am the founder and president of C Minds, a women-led think-and-action-tank focused on the intersection of tech, society, and the environment. C Minds works in advancing the adoption of human rights-based technology social good and AI governance structures and policies in emerging economies. C Minds' #AIforGoodPolicyLab has led an Artificial Intelligence (AI) effort in LatinAmerica that includes the development of the National Government Policy White Paper for AI (2018) that catalyzed the Mexican Government’s development of the National AI strategy (one of the first 10 countries to do so); cofounding the national AI multi-sector coalition in Mexico; cofounding of fAIr Jalisco (2020), the first living lab in the Global South for AI-driven social policies and social entrepreneurship, among others. Our other key areas of C Minds #FutureofEarth and #EonResilienceLab #Women'sLeadershipLab work in the fields of climate change, gender equality, and new forms of tech governance. We test new frameworks and ideas through policy prototypes, project incubations, and create trans-regional knowledge communities, which are part of our DNA.My quest for making the ethical debate on AI more inclusive has led me to be an international speaker in leading forums; be invited to cochair WEF´s AI for Humanity Global Future Council 2021-2022; be an advisor for IEEE; selected to be part of a group of 24 people for the development of UNESCO's global normative instrument on AI ethics; help design fAIr LAC, a regional platform on AI for good led by IDB; and work with leading institutions as UNICRI, UK Embassy, and others to connect Latin America to international meaningful AI governance processes. I founded 'AI for Climate' and in 2024 launched #NaturaTechLac, a regional initiative spearheaded by #IDBLab & coled by #CMinds to scale biodiversity protection. Also enabling a retreat in Spain for driven people to be able to disconnect and reconnect. Have been a consultant to IBB, WB, UN, Embassies, National and City Gov.
