I commenced work as the Network Manager of the new CITA Skillnet Network on 3rd March 2008. This new Training Network is proving to be a great success. The Network has a solid membership base of 112 companies which is growing daily. In 2008, 47 formal training courses took place throughout the country. Under my management, CITA Skillnet surpassed all of its training targets for 2008 CITA Skillnet is in the process of designing and developing a Post Graduate Diploma in Construction Informatics in association with DIT Bolton St. The main goal of this programme is to offer experienced graduates in the AEC Industry, who are graduates of architecture, quantity surveying, civil and construction engineering, a professional qualification in the field of construction informatics. Our objective is to have this post graduate diploma course accredited by the Dublin Institute of Technology by March 2009 with the first module commencing by the 1st April 2009.In my role as Network Manager I am responsible for:•Recruitment of new members to the CITA Skillnet Training Network•Planning and organising Training Courses nationwide•Updating the training course schedule on the CITA Skillnet website•Completing documents required for obtaining accreditation for the post graduate diploma in construction informatics •Running at least 6 Steering Committee Meetings each year•Assisting in the planning of 2 member meetings a year •Designing all promotional and marketing material for the network•Submitting CITA Skillnet new articles to the bi-monthly newsletter and updating the CITA Skillnet website weekly with news items.•Issuing and chasing sales invoices, organising payment of purchase invoices and doing monthly bank reconciliations

In my previous employment with the Ovation Event Managememt Group, my position from 2006 to 2008 was Destination Manager Ireland. In this role I concentrated on managing all aspects of the organisation and execution of incentive packages for overseas clients. Based on specific client briefs, I designed complete event packages for client agreement, which included the events themselves, supporting travel, hotel and event arrangements. •This activity involved complete management of the event from flight arrivals, transfer to hotels, coaching to events, booking of conference facilities, organising large gala evenings and the appointment of various suppliers on site. •Each conference required continuous supervision in terms of preparation of instructions to guides and suppliers, management of groups between events, travelling in advance to venues to ensure all agreed preparations are in place. •Financial responsibilities included issuing of contracts and managing the appointments and payment of all external suppliers
