Role was defined by creation of innovative and automated solutions for our dailywork, setting up new or updating guidelines of current undocumented processes for allteam members, providing training to new colleagues and thinking out of the box forclient’s solutions provided by the use of SQL Server, SSRS and Excel.

Role was based on providing insightful information throughout the merge ofmultiple data sources with SQL Server and SSIS, and automation for dynamic reportingon Excel and SSRS.

Part of the Data Scientist Training Program, which covered:- Data Harmonization: how to cleanse and integrate data, source/mine internal and external data, and basics of data mart management (Extract – Transform – Load), through tools such as SQL, SSIS, and Excel VBA.- MIS Reporting: how different BI tools allow visualizing data and communicating information clearly and effectively through graphical means and tools like SSRS, Tableau, Excel, and BI concepts.- SAS & Analytics: simple statistics and analytics techniques to make sense of the data and derive meaningful insights that can support objective decision making, with tools like SAS and R.

During my time at DISICO I was part of the Finance Team where I helped developing a module for automating funding requests which allowed the University staff to do so through the University website within protocol and in a user-friendly way. The module also presented other features such as keeping track, assessing and approving or denying each request by users involved in the process.
