I enjoy problem solving, with enough information, time and resources any problem can be solved. I thrive in this environment: putting together teams that are motivated to quickly break an issue down into manageable pieces, brainstorming methods for resolving these items while meeting the provided goals; predicting what could go wrong and developing contingencies, and ensuring that either the budget or timeline is maintained based on business objectives. These are all challenges I seek in the workplace. I’ve been asked what I’d do if I could not work in IT any longer - this question is hard to take literally as so much of the world relies on Information Technology in one way or another. However, assuming I wasn’t running an IT department, I’d still be able to use the same skills mentioned above to improve almost any business process whether it was Operations, Sales or Administrative, I’d just require different team members.When not solving problems, I can be found out hiking, paddling or rolling along on two wheels.
