Processing Leading Hand & Emergency ResponseChallenger Gold Operations Pty Ltd 2014 - PresentSouth Australia, AustraliaWorking at one of the most remote sites in Australia, situated in the middle of the outback has proven both a challenge and a blessing in disguise. The harsh conditions and long hours are contrasted by the beauty of the outback and the character of the people who chose to live and work at this site. The FIFO roster has enabled me to make the most of my free time and pursue other opportunities as they have arisen. I currently lead a team of five technicians to safely and efficiently manage the processing of Challenger Gold Mine's ore, turning rocks into gold bars via our crushing, grinding, leaching and CIL/elution circuits. I have acquired a number of plant based and management skills, however I am also passionate about the Emergency Response work and first class training that I have enjoyed while at Challenger Gold Mine. Being a member of our winning team at the South Australian Underground Mines Emergency Response Competition in 2016 was a great experience and one I will never forget! -

I am presently working on developing business opportunities sighted in Canada and Australia.

Technical AssistantWhistler Heli Skiing Nov 2010 - Apr 2011Whistler BcWorking and heli-skiing alongside some of the most experienced and knowledegable guides in the industry while exploring world class terrain, was an honour and huge learning experience. Some of these experiences will continue to influence me for many years to come. Just a few of the job specific lessons I learned during this employment include; An insight into running and operating a world class 'bucket list' experience, social media marketing and management, the detrimental effect of adverse weather conditions on the profitability of a tourism experience, managing numbers of clients in high risk and sometimes life threatening conditions or locations, observing important weather and avalanche safety indicators, planning or implementing contingencies, purchasing, managing and maintaining fundamental equipment.

Freestyle Mountain Bike Coach & Training Facility SupervisorWhistler Blackcomb Air Dome May 2010 - Sep 2010Whistler BcRunning an elite training facility and riding with the world's best freestyle mountain bikers for a season was an incredible experience and such a rewarding job. From coaching the little guys towards their first back-flip into the foam pit, to assisting the best riders in the world prepare for the biggest competition on the world freeride calendar, was something Ill look back on forever. The 'edge of your seat' moments followed by intense highs and lows synonymous of top competition and personally conquering fears or learning tricks like front flips and double back-flips, provided an emotional roller coaster that was hard to give up. Supervising such a facility and the nature of pushing the limits of freestyle sport, meant that risk assessment, administering first aid, reporting and safety management was paramount. Preparedness and response to incidents with potentially life threatening consequences has equipped me well for dealing with future occurrences. Part of the reason I enjoyed this position so much was because every day involved problem solving and thinking outside the box. The excitement of being a part of something that had potentially never been accomplished before was addictive and is a driving influence behind my approach to establishing new business opportunities.

Lift OperationsTsugaike Lift Co. Nov 2009 - Apr 2010Hakuba JapanIn late 2009 two friends and I decided on a whim to move to Japan for six months to live, work and play. Travelling with good friends is always fun, but we randomly decided to pack up and move to another country where we didn't speak the language, with no confirmation of a job, no real set destination and our only goal was to experience as much as possible. This was definitely one of the best decisions I've ever made. The adventures, the laughs, the hardships, the friends, the stories and endless memories have definitely shaped my future, my goals and expanded my comfort zones beyond what I ever thought possible. We found work at a little traditional Japanese ski resort called Tsugaike Kogen, nestled deep in the mountains of Hakuba, in the Nagano prefecture. Towards the end of the season Stewy and I purchased high performance cars and decided to travel to the 'Mecca' of drifting in the mountains of Fukushima. Over the coming weeks the snow continued to fall while both Stewy and I slept on the floor of a community scout hall, living out of our drift cars so that we could drive at the track every day. It was during this time that we met Chris Dejager. Through Chris we met Kevin Flynn, the owner of Driver Dynamics and not long after our return to Australia I was fortunate enough to join their team as a stunt driving instructor. My newly found ability to speak and understand basic Japanese assisted me in my acquisition of my Heli-Skiing job in Whistler and other skills and friendships acquired during this six month stint have proven truly priceless.
