As a Landscape Photographer, I've been traveling around Europe for more than a decade now, often bringing paying customers to see natural landscapes and beautiful atmospheric phenomena on week long adventures in the wilderness.With my long history surrounding camera gear since well before the advent of digital, I've written about all aspects of photography. Here's my short bio: I'm a landscape photographer from the Netherlands with a liberal take on the art of photography and image-making. My images are often dark, moody and ominous because my goal is to create art that makes me feel lighter. From my childhood years on, my fascination and appreciation of the natural world shaped my life today. That's why I'm a big proponent of the Nature First philosophy and donate 10 percent of what I earn with photography to conservation efforts. The discovery that photography has a cathartic effect on me, came about in 2009, when I first took photography seriously. Before that, matte painting and drawing were my primary creative outlets. But when that shifted to landscape photography, I suddenly knew visual kung-fu. To me, any form of art should capture the artist first and foremost. To register a time and place is not as important to me as the interpretation of it. That's part of the reason why I don't apply rules to my creative process; especially in post. The resulting visual aesthetic of my work is influenced by the artwork of Magic: The Gathering, a collectible card game, but also by movies like the Lord of the Rings trilogy and science fiction.

As a Content Manager and Writer, I continuously develop content strategies and explore business opportunities for the online sale of superfoods, CBD oil and health products. At DHS Services, I am the voice of multiple retail web stores such as Dutch-Headshop.nl, CBD-Expert.nl, Medihemp.nl, Wiet-info.nl and DeGezondeWereld.nl. My daily job is to ascertain the value of creative ideas through SEO research, customer service feedback and write new content based on current events that surround cannabis, entheogens, & psychedelics that are legal in the Netherlands.I love getting my hands dirty and biting myself into complex projects. As such I’ve fulfilled a coordinating role in two content migrations, one from the OSCommerce CMS to Magento 1.9 and another from WordPress to Magento 2. We’re currently planning to do another hop to move our biggest online webshop from Magento 1.9 to Magento 2 as well and in the process give it a stunning visual overhaul.Our team is quite small, which enables me to add value in various disciplines that are often very separate jobs.
