As a Content Specialist I strive to engage customers with exciting new content in any way, shape or form that adds value. Whether it's an in-depth written tutorial, an amazing photograph or a video on location, multimedia is as important to me as it is to end-users with increasingly shorter attention spans. Herein lies a great challenge as well as many business opportunities. Especially considering AI is taking the world of SEO and data by storm at this very moment. These are interesting times indeed.By following the latest breakthroughs in tech and user psychology, it’s my goal to stay one step ahead of the crowd. However futile that may prove to be, I love a good mental exercise despite the risks. I learned to try hard, fail early and re-iterate while getting my Bachelor’s Degree in Communication & Multimedia Design as well as in the wonderful roles I’ve had the opportunity to fulfill.I’m a creative, kind and introverted guy, who loves a good laugh. Working as a team, either on location or while working from home towards a common goal is my priority. A proactive and methodical approach is second nature to me, because it’s good practice to have one eye on the scope of the project. Particularly complex ones.It is my ambition to continuously grow as a person and to use my experience and vision in an innovative organization. Preferably one that aims to make life better for people, nature or indeed the future of our fragile planet. Keywords: Enthusiastic | Creative | Organised | CommittedSpecialities: Content Marketing | CMS | Social Media | (Landscape) Photography | WritingExperience: SEO | Analytics | Web Design | HTML5 | CSS3 | Content Migration | Magento | WordpressInterests: Sustainability | Travel & Leisure | Technology | Nature | Non-Profit | Animal Rights | Music Production | Artificial Intelligence

Professional Landscape Photographer, Educator & WriterLaanscapes Photography Jun 2009 - PresentAs a Landscape Photographer, I've been traveling around Europe for more than a decade now, often bringing paying customers to see natural landscapes and beautiful atmospheric phenomena on week long adventures in the wilderness. With my long history surrounding camera gear since well before the advent of digital, I've written about all aspects of photography. Often for tech, travel and online media clients with big names such as: » Nikon» Buro ScanBrit» Zoom.nl» Natuurfotografie.nl / PixFactory» MSI» Colorado Tripod Company» Breakthrough Photography» Landscape Photography Magazine» Fstoppers» PetaPixel» NatureTTL» National Geographic» BenQI'm an ambassador for and supported by f-stop gear, Breakthrough Filters and Colorado Tripod Company. Here's my short bio: I'm a landscape photographer from the Netherlands with a liberal take on the art of photography and image-making. My images are often dark, moody and ominous because my goal is to create art that makes me feel lighter. From my childhood years on, my fascination and appreciation of the natural world shaped my life today. That's why I'm a big proponent of the Nature First philosophy and donate 10 percent of what I earn with photography to conservation efforts. The discovery that photography has a cathartic effect on me, came about in 2009, when I first took photography seriously. Before that, matte painting and drawing were my primary creative outlets. But when that shifted to landscape photography, I suddenly knew visual kung-fu. To me, any form of art should capture the artist first and foremost. To register a time and place is not as important to me as the interpretation of it. That's part of the reason why I don't apply rules to my creative process; especially in post. The resulting visual aesthetic of my work is influenced by the artwork of Magic: The Gathering, a collectible card game, but also by movies like the Lord of the Rings trilogy and science fiction.

Content Manager | Entheogen, Cannabis & Psychedelics SpecialistDhs Services Jun 2017 - PresentHeemskerk, North Holland, NetherlandsAs a Content Manager and Writer, I continuously develop content strategies and explore business opportunities for the online sale of superfoods, CBD oil and health products. At DHS Services, I am the voice of multiple retail web stores such as Dutch-Headshop.nl, CBD-Expert.nl, Medihemp.nl, Wiet-info.nl and DeGezondeWereld.nl. My daily job is to ascertain the value of creative ideas through SEO research, customer service feedback and write new content based on current events that surround cannabis, entheogens, & psychedelics that are legal in the Netherlands.I love getting my hands dirty and biting myself into complex projects. As such I’ve fulfilled a coordinating role in two content migrations, one from the OSCommerce CMS to Magento 1.9 and another from WordPress to Magento 2. We’re currently planning to do another hop to move our biggest online webshop from Magento 1.9 to Magento 2 as well and in the process give it a stunning visual overhaul. Our team is quite small, which enables me to add value in various disciplines that are often very separate jobs. My primary role is being a writer, but I constantly bring visual improvements to our website and upgrade the user experience through coding efforts.A couple of the most fun projects I've worked on:- Restructure the main navigation (mega menu) of our biggest webshop.- Design and develop magic mushroom and space cake dosage calculators.- Design and develop the cannabis seed selector to narrow down the search among 200+ strains.- Assist in getting our websites as fast as possible (Lighthouse) without losing fidelity.- Design banners, e-books and other downloadables in keeping with our art direction.
