About Guy Herling Fischer
History, economics, politics, science, sports, pop culture, fashion or psychology - I think there is no content field I haven't touched in my 15 years in the translation business. I've translated mostly books (fiction and non-fiction) for Israel's biggest and most important publishing houses in Israel, but had my share of essays, websites, scripts and even speeches.I've worked on best-sellers (from Dan Brown to Dan Arieli) and on classics; on children's books and others that explored the mysteries of the human mind.I've also engaged in Arabic-Hebrew translating, and studied Italian and Yiddish.Aside from excellent linguistic and writing skills, my work as a translator helped me hone the most important features for anyone dealing with content: thoroughness, diversity, infinite curiosity, excellent data-mining, and close attention to details. My passion is in finding the exact right word. And this is exactly what I'm bringing to my new adventures: whether in translation, micro-copy or any kind of content writing, in-house or freelance - if you need the right word, I'll help you find it.
