ConversaSpain started operating to help the Spanish public administration incorporate Auxiliares de Conversación (Language Assistants) in public schools and to offer teaching opportunities to English speakers. In the beginning, Meddeas, renowned for its Language Assistant Programs in private schools developed ConversaSpain as a spin off with a dedicated team and brand.At present, ConversaSpain cooperates independently with the Education Authorities in the Comunidad de Madrid and Región de Murcia, incorporating Auxiliares de Conversación in more than 300 public schools. The Education Authorities will place these language assistants in suitable schools so they can help to improve the English skills of students and staff. ConversaSpain will provide participants with support moving to Spain, health coverage, orientation meeting with workshops, and advice for every day practical matters that do not involve school matters.
