Senior Program Specialist Communications
CurrentThe primary role of the Senior Program Specialist Communications is to advance ZeroV's mission by developing and executing strategic communications and developing products and activities that maximize reach and impact of ZeroV programs.Administrative:• Fosters a team culture conducive to achieving Strategic Plan Objectives in ways that align with the coalition’s mission, vision, and core values.• Builds technical infrastructure and content development processes in collaboration with relevant staff, including website, databases, email, and social media management systems and processes.Data/Research/Evaluation:• In consultation with leadership, develops communications strategies to maximize the impact of DRE activities to target audience/s.• Designs and project manages the execution of communications products that feature relevant narrative and graphic elements in support of DRE findings and distributes to appropriate communication channels such as social media, email, media releases, etc.Legislative:• Develops and executes legislative communications strategy in consultation with Policy Team, ZeroV Leadership, ZeroV Legislative Committee, legislative partners, and lobbyist or lobbying firm.Prevention:• Promotes prevention messaging in ZeroV media channels, email, and other communications collateral.• Strategizes, organizes and executes large-scale public prevention messaging via planning and execution of statewide public events, including Domestic Violence Awareness Month and Shop & Share.Strategic Partnerships:• Establishes, maintains, and cultivates strategic relationships with media reporters and editors to amplify DV news and information throughout the state; public event partners such as Kroger, the First Lady, and other potential event partners; as well as potential funders, foundations, and other key stakeholders.• Utilizes ZeroV communication channels to support partners and allies whose overlapping goals advance ZeroV's mission and values.
