For nearly three decades, I haven't been in a traditional job. However, for 29 years, I proudly served as a Sailor in the U.S. Navy. My journey began with a spontaneous decision – just a week's gap from visiting the recruitment office to embarking on my first night at boot camp. Initially, joining the military wasn't even a consideration for me, despite my parents' consistent encouragement.Throughout my career, I've had the privilege to reflect on a myriad of experiences, both challenging and rewarding, and celebrate numerous team and organizational achievements. The hurdles and failures I've encountered along the way have been instrumental in my learning journey. Frankly, I'd happily relive these experiences without a second thought.Professionally, my greatest strength and passion lie in problem-solving within a team setting. I thrive in environments where the mindset is focused on finding solutions – "Yes, we can figure this out; we can do that" – and find myself disheartened by attitudes that lean towards "No, that's too difficult; we don't have the time or resources." Acknowledging and elevating my colleagues' efforts comes naturally to me, while self-promotion does not.On a personal front, my interests include golf (as long as my back permits), ping-pong, and cornhole, in that specific order. I'm also keen on exploring my creative side, believing there's untapped artistic potential within me.Adding to this journey, I've taken on the roles of Co-founder & CEO at Manic Social and Director/Chairman at Clover Hill Foundation. These positions have allowed me to extend my leadership skills and problem-solving acumen beyond the military, offering new platforms to contribute and make a difference.
