Performed schematic capture and PCB layout, primarily using Cadence tools, with an emphasis on EMC, product reliability and DFM. I was responsible for product reliability and regulatory approvals testing, as well as signal integrity simulation for projects contracted to Sanmina. Some of the designs I worked on were test boards used for temperature testing of lithium ion batteries, PCB layout for a radar device, network cards, a high performance AI computing device, DC/DC power supplies, and the electronics in medical products. I also was involved in the design of a product in the oil industry that needed hazardous location compliance for most of the countries in the world.

I also performed PCB layout reviews for regulatory approvals for the Cisco Nexus 7000 series switches. My job function consisted of schematic, layout, and mechanical design reviews as it pertains to regulatory approvals. I have done PCB layout reviews for EMC compliance on about 100 separate PCBs during my employment at Cisco. Presented EMC related presentations at Cisco symposiums for their hardware design teams.
