Hey – thanks for swinging by. So … me in a nutshell. I’ve got a law degree (with honours, no less), a bachelor of science in advanced physics (turns out that hasn’t been so useful), a masters of business and a graduate diploma in financial planning (I’ve never been a financial planner, but wanted to understand money better). I have deep expertise, and have written books about business (including co-authoring a book with Michael E. Gerber), sales, money, productivity, IP creation, running a solo practice and Catsville (the children’s book I wrote with my daughter Scarlett when she was 4). I am first and foremost a husband (married to the most amazing women Trish), a father (with two gorgeous daughter, Scarlett and Amelie) and a monk (I have taken vows as an Ishaya monk with all that entails). Right now I’m doing a little less. Working more one-on-one than with large groups, in person rather than online, and going a bit slower and a lot deeper. I help people get still enough to work out what they really want, and what the world wants from them, in their life and their business. And then the strategies to get it.

MentorPeter Cook Enterprises Pty Ltd Jan 2010 - PresentI have two gifts that can really help. The first is helping you work out what game you should be playing. What your business (and your life) should be about. The overlap of what you want, and what the world (or God if you’re that way inclined) wants from you. Most of us don’t spend enough time on this, and our psychology can get in the way. Consequently we’re playing the wrong game, and it’s harder than it should be. If it feels like you’re pushing a rock up hill and never getting to the top, this is a good sign that something is a little out.Sometimes its just 5 degrees off, sometimes its 180 degrees. My second gift is once you’ve worked out the right game to play, I’m very good at helping you win that game. Working out the best strategies and tactics. And helping with the mindset and beliefs. This is where my experience and expertise in business, practice, productivity, sales, money etc can help. I have a half day offering (which I love) working with people running a business or a practice. I find that half a day (with some prep and a setup call) is enough to run this process, and get some pretty profound results. The other thing I’m doing (which I also love) is ongoing mentoring for a very special cohort of my friends who are transitioning from successful practices to building multi-million dollar businesses. Oh, and I write a blog. Every week. Have been doing so for 15 years. I know, I know … you need another newsletter in your inbox like you need a hole in the head. However, it might be worth checking out … I have a lot of people tell me that mine is one of the only blogs that actually look out for and read every week. You can check it out at petercook.com.

Co-Founder, CeoThought Leaders Business School Feb 2014 - Nov 2020Sydney, AuI started Thought Leaders Business School with Matt Church, back in 2013 (we launched in Feb 2014). We took Matt’s thought leadership curriculum and created an ongoing program based on my implementation methodology and IP. I had originally come across the TL Curriculum in 2011 on a two-day course that Matt ran, and I ran with it hard to build my own practice. I blogged about my journey from white belt ($10k a month) to black belt ($60k a month) at the time. You can read about my journey at https://petercook.com/resources (scroll down to the bottom, click on the whitepaper). I wrote a book about implementation at the time. In a nutshell I believe that implementing the stuff that matters is much more about the structures we put around us than our mindset, character or discipline. Success comes from setting up great projects, frameworks, support and accountability. Thought Leaders Business School was built on this framework. A 12-month program that included 3-month projects, the frameworks to implement them and the necessary support and accountability structures to succeed. In November of 2020 I stepped away from TLBS, handing over the reins to my very good friend Lisa O’Neill, who is currently the CEO. If you’re an expert, looking to build a successful practice, I don’t think there is a better program or community on the planet. -
