Project: iLevel for S&P Global (www.spglobal.com). Development of a web service for private capital market.Participation: • Maintain production MS SQL Servers • Controlled 26 Production SQL Server 2016 machines (AWS EC2 not just RDS) in Amazon AWS cloud. • Maintained 2 Production Always On Availability Groups for 6 years. • The biggest AG was 5 TB of data in 666 db's per each of 3 replicas, processing 3500 avg / 7500 peak TPS, having the biggest db of 380 GB. • Proposed and implemented a PowerShell script for automation of SQL Server installation/configuration. • Provided performance and capacity requirements for new SQL Server machines and AWS EBS disks. • Migrated production AGs from WSFC 2012 R2 to WSFC 2019 via Distributed Availability Groups. • Migrated production Standalone SQL to AWS cloud via Log Shipping. • Regularly migrated data between soft RAIDs for increasing needs (until AWS EBS gp3 took over). • Was responsible for db backups/restores, tuned their copying to AWS S3 buckets and to DR site. • Offloaded FULL + LOG backup activities to the Secondary replica. • Provided db maintenance (indexes and statistics rebuilds, integrity checks). • Managed TDE certificates, performed database encryption and annual rotation of the certificates. • Troubleshooted SQL Servers issues (bursts of CPU load, suboptimal queries, deadlocks, low EBS disk throughput, failed connections, etc). • Closely cooperated with a DevOps team including: - support of daily db restores from Prod to Support envs - cloning of client databases within and cross AG - SQL code mentoring • Provided DBA coverage during annual Disaster Recovery tests, including restoration of all production db's from backups via a PowerShell script. • Wrote documentation articles in Atlassian Confluence. • Monitored via: Performance Monitor, Extended Events, Db Mail, AWS CloudWatch, Telegraf / Grafana.

Development of a web portal for assisting companies in populating of rating agencies questionnaires.Participation: • Controlled developement database of the project • Reorganized a database development process from parallel work on a single development database, to a more stable approach where each developer worked with its own copy of the development database. • Developed a set of batch files for instant restoration of any database version from an archive. • Arranged regular releases of database versions. • Maintained ER-diagrams, consulted developers, performed query optimizations. • Was responsible for regular compilation of database changes into a single update script for Production. • Led a group of 3 members performed a migration of production data from a previous database version.

The system provided a centralized storage of polyclinic and hospital service cases.Participation: • Maintained the OLTP database structure and the ER model in Sybase PowerDesigner. • Self studied all aspects of OLAP, warehouse, DTS and MDX technologies via Microsoft Official Courseware. • Designed from scratch and implemented: the Warehouse database, the multidimensional OLAP database (8 cubes, 37 shared dimensions), 3 DTS packages for ETL automation. • Provided a concept of parameterized queries for the OLAP database. • Implemented all MDX queries for data extraction from cubes. • Led the database team of two members responsible for the database support and development.
