About Coons Michael
Unlike the populist saying "I am a people person" I am not, I am a machine and systems person. I have never met a machine I didn't like or a piece of equipment I couldn't understand. I get buildings and what keeps them happy and functioning. To me a physical plant is a like breathing living being which if treated well and properly cared for will provide infinite life service to it occupants, The unexpected should never happen because if you know your facility nothing is unexpected it may be inconvenient but not really surprising. Even something that would be classically considered unexpected like a tee hitting the building is only really inconvenient because you should have known it was not healthy.Don't get me wrong I get along with people OK most of the time but given the chance to go to a meeting or party or tear down a broken garbage disposal...look for my feet sticking out from under the sink.

Responsible for physical plant operations and maintenance of an assisted living facility, Not a pleasant place to work, I offer as evidence their over 200% per year turnover rate of staff after 7 months I found myself the 3rd most senior person and the most senior manager. The director of operations from corporate is unreasonable in his demands and seems to think a 600 sf one bedroom apartment can be completely cleaned painted and ready for occupancy in less than an hour, good luck with that, just about the worst job I ever had, and believe me I have done some disgusting jobs in my life.
