I’m Cooper Dunn, a second-year engineering student at the University of Florida, studying Aerospace Engineering. As I progress through my academic career, I become more focused on the necessary steps to reach my ultimate professional goal of working for companies dedicated to advancing the technologies in the Aerospace field. In my short time at the University of Florida, I have had the opportunity to study alongside like-minded individuals who have a similar passion to me for the industry, while also having differing viewpoints that expand the opportunities in the field. During this time I have recognized the value of working as a team and collaborating to create better solutions. My short-term goal is to work for a company that reinforces the team environment and sharing of ideas, so I can expand my knowledge in real-world application. This experience in industry will hopefully teach me the key elements of what it means to be an engineer who is open to different solutions to obtain the correct answer in all circumstances.
