Leadership program for teenagers. A grueling application and interview process to get into the program in early 2012. I was one of fifty teens, out of more than 100, to be accepted. Each member was responsible for raising $3,700 to pay their way and donate to children in West Bengal, India. We had leadership meetings every other week for ten months to prepare us for two weeks in India. We each created our own lesson plans for the assigned subjects that we would be teaching to the kids in India and we also did many service projects outside of the humanitarian trip throughout the ten months of training and preparation.
