- Conducted research and competitive analysis of the retirement industry in order to baseline and advise a large domestic Life and Retirement provider’s strategic initiatives against key market players and industry trends; developed an M&A playbook to support client’s strategy group on go-forward basis- Engaged on both the sell-side (pre-close) and buy-side (post-close) for a $7B acquisition of an investment manager in order to lead current and target state operating model development, day one readiness assessment, and post-close integration planning for several functional areas- On the same engagement, worked directly with Chief Procurement Officer on the sell-side to create strategic cadence to run, track, and deliver on the cost synergies initiative for the integration with the goal of reducing spend by $50M annually through supply chain consolidation- Assisted a loyalty technology company with separation from its parent company and integration planning into a large-cap bank, working with client to achieve full technology and network separation by TSA and reverse TSA deadlines- Performed a robust close readiness assessment for a large US-based bank in their pursuit of an $8 Billion acquisition of another firm’s retail banking division, and provided the client with findings to support the team’s overall thesis- Stood up and ran the Transaction Management Office for a large US-based bank carve out, and led the Finance, Accounting, Tax, Treasury, and Sourcing & Vendor Management workstreams through the development of a detailed roadmap to reach complete separation and operational independence by Legal Day 1
