Joining the establishment mission of the LTPS G6 LCD fab and responsible for setting up the TEST department about CF REPAIR/MACRO/Defect Review &AOI System Equipment.

Giving assistance to develop a new three-dimensional structure light scanner system which is based on zoom-lens optical configuration. The scanner contains an industry camera unit 、a pattern projection unit and a zoom-lens unit. According to adjusting the zoom-lens unit to change the field of view, we can use the higher resolution and magnification to enhance the reconstruction accuracy.

I’m a Chief Engineer in Chimei-Innolux and I ‘m charged with the management of this department now. In the past recent years, I have done a lot of works to improve the process and create benefits in my company. There are some examples shown as follows.1. Transformation of micro-inspection system: I transform the old machine to automatically image capture machine by modifying the software and docking the Robot with Loader/Unloader.2.Tact time improvement of machine: Our AOI machine is stand-alone type and dock with the robot and cassette station. I found the robot’s procedure is too complicated to have good efficiency. It takes a long time to exchange glasses.3.ADJ SYSTEM: In our factory people need to judge the defect type by the pictures which are captured by AICM. Most of the defects, such as false defect and smaller defect, don’t need to be reviewed. I build a smart system called ”auto defect judge system” to filter the defects so that people loading can get a huge improvement. Because of this system,50 percent of defects are filtered.4.Analyze and set up with new AOI and REPAIR machine: I have a lot of experience about how to implement AOI and Repair system at work .At first I will figure out what we will need and what it will do in factory ,such as what resolution and what kind of lights we need ,and decide the specifications of EQ.The second step is to plan the schedule about lead-time ,shipping ,moving in ,setting up and releasing .Last but not least is to make sure the system will work very well in factory and also debug the defects with the vendors. I’ve set up two new AOI machines and three new REPAIR machines.

I ‘m charged with the AOI machine which is inspecting the defects of CF glass (the key parts of TFT-LCD products.).Besides maintaining, troubleshooting is also the task I do usually.After inspecting the defects on glass, we have the other machines to repair the glass. we call that “Tape repair”. Its’ function is to used tape to grind the high defects more smaller or clean. And the below picture is the sketch.Finally, I’m also charged some kind of measurement machine, for example, chromatograph, thickness, height, total pitch, etc.
