I have also handled the defense of adversary proceeding defendants, and represented creditors in other bankruptcy proceedings.Outside of the bankruptcy field, I have handled numerous landlord-tenant matters, including the eviction of commercial and individual tenants, the representation of Court appointed receivers, and the litigation of non-payment actions.I started at the firm in May 2011 as a Summer Associate. I stayed during the third year in law school and a Law Clerk. After graduation, I worked as a Law Clerk until I was admitted to the New York State Bar (February 2013), when I became an Associate.

During my second year in law school, I worked a student extern at the United States Attorney's Office for the Southern District of New York. I was assigned to both the General Crimes and Organized Crimes Units.While a student extern, I assisted Assistant United States Attorneys in their preparation for trial, including research into unique legal issues, witness interviews, and practice cross and direct examinations. After trial, I was able to discuss the issues presented with my supervisors, and get insight into criminal law and procedure.

Macco & Stern, LLP, is small firm located in Melville, New York with a focus on bankruptcy law. Despite its small size, it handles the caseload of the standing Chapter 13 Trustee for the Eastern District of New York, as well as a Chapter 7 Trustee and individual debtors.While attending college and law school, I worked on an as needed basis as a file clerk. This position involved organizing closed cases, pulling cases that were no longer required to be held, dealing with commercial shredders, handling the administration of off-site file storage, and assisting the attorneys in handling and closing files.

After my first year in law school, I spent the summer interning for Honorable Thomas F. Whelan, Supreme Court Justice for the New York State Supreme Court in Riverhead. While working for judge, I was able to understand issues facing attorneys at the commencement of a case, including surviving summary judgment motions. I also had an opportunity watch trials and to assist in the conducting of pre-trial conferences.I handled the research of case law for cases involving personal injury and motor vehicle accidents. I also prepared draft decisions for challenges to proper service, summary judgment, and minor name change petitions by a single parent.

Lindamood-Bell Learning Processes is a learning center devoted to help children and adults learn and improve upon their ability to decode language, reading comprehension, and general mathematics. Working at Lindamood-Bell was a rewarding experience and I would not trade my time there. I worked with hundreds of students, including some with severe learning and developmental disabilities, in a warm, fun and friendly environment.

While enrolled as a full time college student, I began tutoring Middle School and High School students in a wide range of Mathematics. Particularly, I helped students prepare for New York State Regents in Mathematics A and Mathematics B, which encompassed Algebra, Geometry, and Trigonometry. Additionally, I also helped students struggling in Pre-Calculus and Calculus courses, as well as review of general concepts in preparation for the SAT, ACT, and SAT II.
