Director of the AIA's programs related to disaster assistance, resilience, and community development policy. Manage and expand a nation-wide network of volunteer architects who are trained to provide building safety assessments following a disaster. Assist in developing the strategic direction of the AIA on issues relevant to resilient design, climate adaptation, and disaster response.

Manager of the AIA's policy agenda and activities that improve our ability to withstand and recover from disasters affecting the built environment. Lead coordinator for a nation-wide network of AIA members and providing advocacy, education, and training to enable architects to serve in all phases of disaster preparedness and response.

Researcher and co-author for "Local Leaders in Sustainability," a series of reports on green building policy in cities and counties. Contacted and surveyed over 800 city and county governments through phone interviews and managed project data. Along with Brooks Rainwater, I am the only staff member to have contributed to all reports in the series.

I worked for adjunct professor Doug Klusmeyer in the Department of Justice, Law, and Society. I conducted literature reviews and authored several course documents for use in undergraduate, and graduate course work related to the historical foundations of English Common Law, including prerogative of the King, habeas corpus, and the evolution of Common Law courts.
