Working for Brian Abbott I do all sorts of different carpentry jobs and landscaping jobs. Working as a carpenter is a very rewarding job, being able to see the product that you are working on is great. I have learned different ways to build things, different ways to deconstruct things, and different ways to problem solve. Working as a carpenter has taught me many things that will be helpful throughout my life time.

I run a small business from my garage where I buy, sell, fix, and trade just about anything with a motor. I have worked on countless amounts of jet skis, atv's, dirtbikes, golf carts, dune buggies, ect. Running my own business has taught me a lot about networking, time management, and problem solving. Buying used motors can throw a curve ball at you ever once in a while and being able to adapt and over come has not always been easy.

At Firekeeper Golf course I learned how to work with a wide variety of people. I was able to gain lots of different experiences while meeting new people everyday. Problem solving issues we would have in the cart barn, and being asked to caddie for professional golfers were highlights of working there.

Worked on a crew of four guys painting exterior of houses all summer. This job taught me different skill sets on painting, team work, job specialization, and customer relationships. We did not advertise our business at all. Word of mouth spread fast enough around town, and we were booked every day of the summer.
