Takachar is a pre-seed startup developing portable biochar reactors. Our technology converts agricultural/forest residue into biochar, all while reducing air pollution and sequestering carbon into the soil. As project engineer, I designed and built a new reactor ignitor, researched potential new markets, worked on repairs and improvements, and performed.

GRC is a global consulting group that provides pro-bono services to clients such as Wikipedia, World Bank, and Google. I created marketing material for the Centre for Rural Improvement Services, a non-profit organization focused on supporting marginalized communities across Ghana.

Ibiza, Balearic Islands, Spain

I communicated only in Spanish with my bosses. I performed a variety of construction labor. I dug trenches for plumbing, mixed cement, shoveled rocks, and operated machinery including jackhammers, stone saws, and excavators.I also cared for 16 horses, which involved feeding, grooming, exercising, and tacking them up for guests.

I started a summer camp based on outdoor activities like surfing, zip lining, mountain biking, and swimming. I designed a website, advertised, and ultimately recruited 38 families. I learned how to create a business plan, set a price, communicate with parents, and work with local government officials.
