About Charles Hanke

I am a senior software engineer with over six years of experience in developing software solutions for various domains, including health research, finance, insurance, and government. I am currently working with Take2 Consulting, where I support the software development and maintenance for the Department of Veteran Affairs. My core competencies include Java and JavaScript programming, DevOps engineering, cloud development, and database management. I have extensive experience in using AWS, Spring Boot, various SQL and NoSQL databases, and other tools and technologies to create scalable, secure, and reliable applications. I also have a strong background in web development, Android development, and mainframe development. I am always eager to learn new skills and explore new challenges. I am a collaborative and communicative team player who values quality, innovation, and customer satisfaction. In addition to software development, I also have my own little home lab, where I host a variety of services, using Proxmox instances to test and play with new things as they come along or interest me. I am also working on becoming a ham radio operator, and when I am not doing anything with computers, I like to spend my time outdoors with my family, all of us collectively touching grass. 😊
