The March 2015 Bid on Syracuse auction doubled the revenue for iHeartMedia Syracuse from previous auctions. As a Sales and Promotions Assistant I also managed invoicing, initiated research, created graphics and proposals for sales presentations, scheduled on-air personality appearances and endorsements, and oversaw contests and giveaways. Additionally, I managed and updated the community calendar for the Syracuse market and I wrote the weekly "Out and About" script for two of our most popular radio personalities, Tom and Becky. I worked on our Public File, writing quarterly reports for Y94FM and POWER 620.My role as a Sales and Promotions Assistant enabled me to work on special projects as well. I worked closely with the Syracuse iHeartMedia Creative Director on a submission for the Country Music Association's Personality of the Year Award for our morning show hosts, Tom and Becky. I also worked with the Onondaga Agriculture Council to assist in the multi-media launch of their Buy Local. Buy Onondaga Grown campaign which promotes the importance of buying locally grown and produced items within Onondaga County. My role for the Onondaga Agriculture Council's multi-media project was to recruit local grocery stores, farmers markets, farm stands, restaurants, and businesses to participate in the campaign as well as design and manage the social media accounts for the Buy Local. I made voter contact and volunteer recruitment phone calls, hosted phonebanks in and out of my office, created and kicked off various canvassing events, built and maintained relationships with politically active students from SUNY Oswego and built and maintained relationships with local Democratic Committees and other members of the Western Oswego County community. I also created two weekly phonebanks. The first phonebank I created was the "Women 2 Women" phonebank where women from Western Oswego County come to the office and call other women in Western Oswego County to talk about women's issues and the importance of voting in November. The second phonebank I created was the "Thursday Phoneday" phonebank where members of the Western Oswego Community come together to participate in voter contact training and voter contact phone calls. My secondary responsibility was to manage the Oswego satellite office of the NYS Democratic Committee and foster a team environment among myself and my interns and fellows while also recruiting and training new volunteers and interns.Finally, I was responsible for reporting metrics on a daily basis. -

Grassroots Organizer In Oswego, New YorkOne Campaign Jul 2013 - Apr 2014Oswego, NyI was responsible for the creation of SUNY Oswego's campus chapter of ONE. As the President of the ONE at SUNY Oswego chapter of the ONE Campus Challenge, I taught ONE at SUNY Oswego members about global poverty and the challenges that it creates and then, alongside my members, I educated the SUNY Oswego campus about the life-saving investments that the U.S. and other countries are making in order to put an end to extreme poverty and preventable disease. I also provided opportunities for our members, other Oswego students, faculty, alumni, and friends of our campus to participate in the fight to end extreme poverty and preventable disease by sharing their knowledge and advocating for poverty fighting programs on behalf of the world's poorest.The ONE at SUNY Oswego chapter of ONE was the number one chapter (out of over one hundred campus chapters across the country) from August 30, 2013 until December 17, 2013. My chapter of ONE at SUNY Oswego also won a national challenge (an advanced, pre-release private screening of "Mandela: Long Walk to Freedom") by writing over four-hundred letters to members of Congress between September 30, 2013 and November 10, 2013. By the end of its first two semesters, ONE at SUNY Oswego was responsible for the recruitment of over 400 members and mobilizing those members of the Oswego campus and community to write over 650 letters to members of Congress and send over 375 tweets to members of Congress.Due to the amazing success of ONE at SUNY Oswego in the fall of 2013, I was interviewed in two different USA Today College articles about student activism, the end of poverty, and AIDS awareness.Under my leadership, ONE at SUNY Oswego also won the ONE Campus Challenge Season 7 Grand Prize: A trip to Washington DC and a spot on the ONE Student Advisory Board. -

As the Program Coordinator, I was responsible for assisting grandparents who were in the middle of custody crises. A month and a half after I started my job at NCGCR, I was promoted to the Communications and Development Coordinator. As the Communications and Development Coordinator, I was responsible for creating and maintaining legal resource pages for every state in America. I was also responsible for creating and maintaining NCGCR's eNewsletter, blog, Facebook, and Twitter pages.I was also responsible for designing National Grandparent's Month. In doing so, I had to solicit blog posts from NCGCR board members and staff about their grandparents/what it means to be a grandparent or a grandchild. I also had to create various activities that NCGCR could distribute to its members to use during National Grandparent's Month. During my role as Communications and Development Coordinator, I was also responsible for creating and planning various fundraising events for NCGCR. The first event that I planned was a 1920's themed gala, Grand's Speakeasy. In planning Grand's Speakeasy, I was responsible for touring venues (and then picking a venue), finding live entertainment for the event, creating a menu for the event, finding sponsors for the event, advertising the event, and soliciting donations for the silent auction at the event. While I was planning Grand's Speakeasy, I also successfully planed the GRAND Run/Walk at SUNY Oswego as well as a fundraiser at Juicy Burger, an Albany area restaurant. -
