The Cooper experience can be summed up by this: Using technology and helping others makes me happy. In Highschool I volunteered at Holly Hill farm, bringing fresh produce to local food pantries in the area. At UVM I've shifted my sights and I'm looking for the intersection between the two sides: Giving back and helping those around me through my knowledge and skills with computers!I have good programming knowledge in Python, Java, C++, HTML, and SQL with the plan to keep growing that as I continue my college experience and work towards a degree in CS. I've worked with AWS and my time at Winslow Tech Group has taught me a vast amount pertaining to network infrastructure and cloud services. Along with my internship I was contracted out to the White Elephant Resorts on Nantucket for a period of time where I experienced working IT for a large company, assisted them imaging new machines, taking tickets, and replacing outdated systems. I don't plan to slow down any time soon so if you would like to get in touch I'd be more than happy to chat.

Summer Science EducatorNational 4-H Council Sep 2023 - PresentVermont, United StatesSpent the summer giving hands on STEM related experiences to small schools and summer camps around Vermont. 4-H is focused on providing opportunities to these younger generations so that as they grow up they're more exposed to what the world has to offer. In our small team of 4 we worked on presentations for typically dense STEM concepts geared towards Middle school aged audience. I particularly enjoyed getting to work with the Robotics kits and helping the students figure out how pathing algorithms worked so that their robot could traverse a floor maze autonomously. When not on site providing these activities our team coresponded with school districts to schedule these 40+ events for local kids. -

I got to shadow and assist in this process working partially on site with one of their customers: White Elephant Resort in Nantucket.I got the chance to work on developing inhouse software written in python and making use of PHP as well as VMs. On site I troubleshot switches and provided IT ticketing assistance to ease all friction. Internship ended with me having a wonderful opportunity to observe day to day activities in person and remote.
