The International Copper Association (ICA) is the leading authority on the fundamentals of copper, including future demand, innovations and sustainability performance. Our mission is to bring together the global copper industry to develop and defend markets for copper and to make a positive contribution to the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). ICA’s members represent the majority of global copper production. Our status as a not-for-profit trade association provides members with a credible, independent advocate to address challenges faced by the collective industry.I manage external/public ICA market intelligence output through a global markets outreach/events program, focused mostly towards future material demand, ESG and sustainability performance. I work with ICA senior management to identify and set in intelligence to their work and to shape and support program/team objectives. In regard to expert consultancy and partners, I manage relationships with external providers to effectively combine external knowledge with internal objectives, and manage core copper market intelligence. I identify material trends, opportunities and threats toward copper across the global market and work closely with partners and alliances to defend copper. Market analysis: Responsible for research pipeline across ICA's work portfolio, budget control, marketing/PR direction and consultancy management. Special focus on material threats (substitution), copper demand dynamics, opportunities for copper in clean and sustainable technologies, strategic research and marketing program measurement, across all copper end use applications.
