• As manager of the agency Aviation Program this position reports to the Assistant Division Manager for Resource Protection Division – Fire Control and Aviation. As the APM I am responsible for providing progressive and strategic leadership for the statewide aviation program which includes aircraft maintenance, operations, safety, and expertise to agency executives regarding aviation resources. The Aviation Program Manager provides leadership both within DNR and in cooperation with other wildland firefighting and emergency management agencies at the local, state, federal, tribal, and international levels. Maintain a current library of regulations, airworthiness directives, maintenance manuals, service bulletins and other reference materials. Assist with Unit budget preparation, receiving of shipments, invoices, monitoring the stock of items ordered and ensuring accountability and timely installation of parts.• Supervise a pool of pilots, tactical flight officers and maintenance personnel.
