As a photographer, I have enhanced not only my creative skills, but mycritical thinking skills as well. I have learned how to think outside of thebox and adapt to change as it presents itself. The most rewarding part about this job was taking senior photos for students at my high school who couldn't afford it.

For about 4 and a half years, I have single-handedly maintained andconditioned neighborhood lawns. These tasks included mowing, planting,watering, edging garden beds, mulching, fertilizing, raking, bagging andburning leaves, trimming, pollarding, and shaping.

Refined my professional skills, communication, and experience working at a high-end restaurant.

Working this full time job has exposed me to numerous new workingconditions. I learned how to work alongside patients and otherprofessionals at the hospital campus I was employed at. Most of mycoworkers spoke spanish as their fist language, so I learned how toovercome language barriers with other forms of communication. Iadvanced my teamwork skills when it came to large group projects. I alsolearned how to manage my time efficiently between going to this full timejob, and my part time job.

As a server I learned to work in a diverse environment that seeks toserve a socially and culturally diverse community. This job taught me theimportance of making everyone feel welcome, customers and employees.I also learned of the necessity for precise communication betweencustomers and employees, as well as time management, and multitasking.

As the lead hostess, I have learned and excelled at completing routinetasks that attributed to the success of the overall restaurant. In my timehere, I have perfected my organizational skills in doing tasks such asorganizing the host stand, cleaning bathrooms, restaurant maintenance,booking reservations, and keeping a balanced seating of tables betweenall servers. I have also improved upon my leadership skills by leading anddirecting a team of other hosts. Most of all, I learned communicationskills: greeting customers, dealing with customer dissatisfaction,enhancing customer satisfaction, and taking calls over the phone.

In high school I did an independent study as the editor-in-chief of my highschool newspaper, as well as lead writer, photographer, and socialmedia/website manager. This two year experience has allowed me toflourish in a communicative and creative environment. I excelled atverbal/written communication and virtual and digital content. Thisprogram was very research intensive in which I learned to gatherinformation, conduct interviews, and ultimately create stories/contentthat the community wanted to be a part of.

Utilizing communication skills, I worked directly with customers toenhance sales for the overall company. I gave them insight into our lawncare process and its benefits, answering their questions along the way.
