At SLAGC, my work supports bridging policymaking and scholarship by coordinating and communicating with Los Angeles stakeholders and researchers to ultimately advance LA County’s urban sustainability goals. This consists of gathering information on scholarly research, current events, and stakeholders on specific topical areas within the broader field of sustainability. These efforts will enable the SLAGC Research Development team to access, share, and strategically apply the information and data to collaboratively further programmatic objectives. Additionally, I frequently engage with urban sustainability research across disciplines and synthesize information through written communications and using tools including spreadsheets, Microsoft Suite, Google Suite, Airtable, and Box.

At TEA, I have directed a team of 15 staff members to oversee various transportation advocacy projects. This includes the distribution of over 19,000 U-Passes following the passage of a Bruins for Better Transit referendum providing all UCLA undergraduates with unlimited access to local and regional public transportation. Additional projects include Westwood Connected, a detailed planproposing infrastructure reforms in the neighborhood surrounding UCLA that emphasize safe active transportation and de-center personal vehicle use. Lastly, TEA advocates for the Sepulveda Transit Corridor, a proposed rail line connecting the West side of LA with the San Fernando Valley.

In my Communications Research Assistant posistion, I assist my former political communications professor in research regarding local news and racial bias. We track trends in content and presentation of 1980s Los Angeles TV broadcasts, particularly the portrayal of the war on drugs and immigration.

Contributing researcher to academic research concerning the January 6th insurrection. Assist by conducting literature review, creating annotated bibliographies, and evaluating data. Working under the direction of faculty and PhD students.

Promoted from General Policy Member to Director of Marketing of Activism Through Policy at UCLA. ATP works collaboratively to research and write policy members on important local, state, and federal legislative issues. My role specifically includes organizing and generating interest for events such as expert panels, advising members on policy memos, and assisting with the research process.

At the District Office, my role includes monitoring district and state issues, current events, and legislation. Additionally, I assist constituents with contacting various state agencies and provide information in response to policy inquiries. Lastly, I assist the District Office with planning meetings and events with constituents, fellow representatives, advocacy organizations, and other key stakeholders.

At Bruins for Better Transit, I led a successful multi-media outreach campaign to pass a referendum providing all UCLA undergraduates with unlimited access to local and regional public transportation regional in Los Angeles. Ultimately, we achieved the highest voter turnout in three years and passed the referendum with 93% support.I personally directed a team of 15 to successfully connect with various UCLA stakeholders such as faculty, campus organizations, student government, and student media organizations. Additionally, I managed a grassroots email campaign using Mail Merge software and spreadsheet organization skills.

As an intern at BAE, I advised public and private sector clients on environmental services including environmental health and safety, hazardous site characterization, and federal and California regulatory compliance. My role involved developing project plans for clients including sampling and analysis plans, cost engineering proposals, environmental site assessment summaries, and models of site improvements. Along with client services, I provided administrative support to the Bay Area Environmental team by invoicing and communicating with clients as well as creating resources for the team, including infographics, slideshows, and document templates.

Informed customers of sustainable brands and materials to encourage environmentally friendly and ethical shopping. I worked with a team to foster a friendly and informative sales environment and maintained helpful customer service.
