About Cora Allen
I am a business student at the University of Colorado Boulder studying Operations Management, with a minor in Environmental Landscape Design. I am passionate about reversing the environmental impacts of human behavior. I am especially passionate about regenerative agriculture and accessibility to sustainably (and transparently) sourced food. I am a firm believer that everyone deserves access to pesticide free, safe, affordable groceries, and am passionate about creating sustainable industry standards. Climate mitigation is essential to the longevity of all life, and I plan to use my understanding of business and sustainability to help create a bridge between innovation and implementation. I have much experience working with individuals from diverse backgrounds and am well-versed in public speaking and project management. My course load at the Leeds School of Business has allowed me to demonstrate these skills through presentations and group projects, where I have also developed essential communication skills. My role at The Postman's Knock has given me experience in small scale operations management, and I have gained skills such as quality management, bottleneck identification, and inventory management. I also respond to blog posts, which greatly impacts customer retention. In addition to my role as an art supply packager for TPK, I work as a Peer Advisor in the Undergraduate Advising Office for the Leeds School of Business. As a Peer Advisor I monitor multiple lines of communication including zoom, phone calls, and email, in addition to our physical in person desk, where anyone may ask us questions and get some guidance throughout the day. I am also in charge of managing appointments for students, releasing academic holds and completing overrides when needed. I have experience holding my own information advising sessions for prospective transfer students. Peer Advising has strengthened my customer service, communication, presentation, and problem solving skills.
