With established methods and procedures and in continual communication with the nursing support team, provide direct patient care including, but not limited to: take vital signs, activities of daily living–ADLs (bathing, feeding, clothing, personal hygiene, transfers, and bowel and bladder management), recording intake and output, collect specimens for analysis, report to the nurse abnormal or sudden changes in a patient’s condition and/or behavior, range of motion exercises, transports on gurneys and wheelchairs, making beds, contribute to recreational activities and care plans, provide age-specific treatment and care, apply oxygen as directed by the RN, adhere to safety/infection policies, maintain a clean environment, communicate with patients and families, and maintain strict confidentiality of all facility and facility-related employee information.
