Following my graduation from Texas A&M University with a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Distribution, I moved to Austin, TX to work at Shermco Industries as a Technical Sales Specialist. Shermco Industries is North America’s largest and fastest-growing electrical testing organization accredited by the InterNational Electrical Testing Association. At Shermco Industries, I support our Territory Account Managers across 8 states in the US South and Gulf Coast Regions throughout each stage of the sales process. On a daily basis, I work face to face with customers to gather pertinent information to provide accurate proposals and analysis for incoming RFQ’s. I work hand and hand with our production and engineering teams to ensure projects are successfully executed, and I work internally with our Accounting, Billing, and Legal Departments to bill customers, set up new vendors, and set up contracts and MSA’s. On a weekly basis, I participate in outbound selling via email campaigns, cold calls, and occasional job site visits. Additionally, I use IIR and ZoomInfo software to engage in prospecting campaigns to provide cold and warm leads for our Territory Account Managers.As a Technical Sales Specialist, I have been able to develop skills in Purchase Order negotiation, account management, customer service, and direct sales.
