Developed an objective tool to analyze and evaluate Non-Technical Skills (NTS) of medical students to improve surgical training simulations. Extracted predictive variables from data analysis to make recommendations for improving communication skills training in medical students.

Usability and Medical Simulation Researcher - 2021 & 2022Developed a metric-based usability model describing the quality of ostomy bag change procedures to prepare for a clinical study. Created immersive trials with patient simulators and environmental design. Medical Device Design and Usability Researcher- 2020Collaborated with industry professionals and student team members to inform medical device design decisions for the StomaGenie ostomate product. Designed and conducted multivariable trials informed by human factors techniques.

Trained in lab culture work for bacterial and mammalian cells for active nano-fiber wound dressings. Utilized laboratory equipment including cell incubator, biosafety cabinet, centrifuge, temperature-controlled water.bath, and microscope for proper cell cultivation

Selected as a 2020 scholar to research protein adhesion mechanics on titanium dental implants.The DAAD, funded by the German government, sponsors international students to complete summer research at top German universities.

Aided the production of cranio-maxillofacial surgical devices. Shadowed the complete process of planning, designing, and manufacturing patient-specific, 3D-printed implants. Learned device design constraints due to the complexity of CMF surgery.

Utilized AutoCAD, communicated with company welders, and compiled several data storages to create an updated parts book. Translated technical workings of chlorine units into easily communicable literature to be distributed to every company customer.
