Through my education at Kennesaw State University and my time working for theilluminerdi.com, I have learned a great deal about the world of journalism. The news media is a big part of life in America, and it is an industry with incredible influence. It falls to rising journalists of the new generation to make sure that truth is disseminated to the public without bias or hidden agendas.I have focused my journalistic efforts towards the entertainment industry as a reporter for The Illuminerdi. That has been and will continue to be a very rewarding experience that presents incredible opportunities. Throughout my career so far, I have interviewed actors like Zazie Beetz (Joker, Atlanta, Deadpool 2), Winstone Duke (Us, Black Panther, Nine Days) and Benedict Wong (Dr. Strange, Gemini Man, Deadly Class). As a reporter for this website, I broke several exclusive news stories about franchises such as Dexter, Peacemaker, and Black Adam. I am developing skills in digital editing and photo-journalism in order to become a more valuable member of a news team. As I grow as a reporter and continue my education, my interest in coverage is expanding. I will always love storytelling and that will factor into my work, but I want to branch out into politics, local news, and more.
