Progressively increased knowledge and responsibility base since acquiring BSCE with minor in Engineering Science & Mechanics from Virginia Tech in 1988. Through the process of hands-on design, developed from Staff Engineer to Lead Engineer at former employer. In 1998 decided that self-employment was a better route for developing professional growth, and formed Caldwell White Associates with Frank Caldwell III, PE, LS. CWA has been a successful small business ever since, with projects ranging from small-scale commercial and residential to master planning industrial, mixed-use residential, medical, and civic developments and re-developments. Was honored to be the Civil / Surveying firm for the National D-Day Memorial in Bedford, VA, as well as for the reconstruction of the two local high schools, one of which was my alma mater. We specialize in large-scale phased redevelopments and the challenges of undisrupted services through reconstruction efforts. Working closely with area contractors has allowed us to maintain realistic & pragmatic designs which in turn, allow higher profit yields for our clients.
