  As the firm's practice manager I am responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the firm. This includes supervising all non-attorney personnel(15 employees), handle HR related matters, and oversee the firm’s finance functions. A big part of my position is to provide leadership and training to all personnel. This is especially important for new support staff and young associate attorneys. It is vital to the firm’s success that all employees are trained properly on the policies, procedures, and systems in place.I am also entrusted with handling a wide range of accounting and financial functions of the firm. This includes maintaining operating and capital budgets, cash flow forecasting, account receivable tracking/collection, accounting records management, and ensuring all tax obligations are met.In addition to the tasks mentioned above, I handle all E-billing for the firm. There has been a shift in the way insurance carriers want their attorneys to submit budgets and fee invoices for payment. Most carriers now require that you submit bills through their billing system for processing. This has led me to gain an extensive amount of experience working with various billing systems. This includes Bottomeline Legal eXchange and Legal-X, Thomson Reuters Legal Tracker, TyMetrix 360, Collaborati, Legal Solutions Suite/LSS, and LexisNexis CounselLink just to name a few.
