Bureau of Democracy, Human Rights, and Labor Office of International Labor Affairs• Drafted and edited 19 country-specific Human Rights Reports published by the U.S. Department of State annually, by conducting research to enhance report quality on the state of labor rights in each country. Developing a successful final draft of these reports goes beyond just proofreading. An effective report requires clear communication among Foreign Service officers abroad, regional bureau editors, and Department of Labor editors to produce a cleared draft. These reports are essential to NGOs and others holding governments accountable to the people, therefore it is imperative that I edited these reports with strong writing and an eye for detail. Back-to-back tranches of reports with tight deadlines flow into the office, so I had to efficiently organize and prioritize.
