As I defended my Ph.D. in June, I am looking for a challenging position as a research scientist in a private company. My Ph.D aimed to answer weither constraining machine learning algorithms, and more specifically deep learning algorithms, could help when studying psychiatric disorders. In particular, my former colleagues and I showed through different experiments that informing a neural network about the structure of a considered object (e.g. the cortical topology of the human cortex) can help when solving downstream tasks (e.g. predicting age, sex or clinical variables). Additionally, we demonstrated how to take into account multiple modalities of data using neural networks to find correlates of psychiatric disorders with characteristics of the brain tissues.It is very important for me that my job has a positive impact on society, and I think this can be achieved by working in the medical field. I am also open to work in other companies aiming to find solutions for the climate crisis or other social crises. Contact me if you think that your company matches these criteria !
