In my current role as a Postdoctoral Researcher at the Charles Gerhardt Institute of Montpellier (ICGM), I am engaged in the European Horizon Programme project IMPACTIVE (https://mechanochemistry.eu), which stands at the forefront of mechanochemistry research. Our mission is to revolutionize the manufacturing of pharmaceuticals, making the process greener and more sustainable.Key Responsibilities:- Leading the development of sustainable methodologies for organic synthesis, focusing on the large-scale preparation of high-value compounds for the pharmaceutical industry using continuous flow mechanochemistry, particularly through reactive twin screw extrusion.- Pioneering the design of scalable and eco-friendly routes for Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients (APIs) and key intermediates, offering a greener alternative to traditional solution-based processes.- Conducting extensive research on the mechanochemical process parameters to facilitate continuous production at various scales.- Applying Green Chemistry metrics to evaluate and enhance the ecological efficiency of the developed processes.- Performing in-depth solid state characterization of APIs and intermediates.- Innovating in process development to create new pharmaceutical forms.
