The plaque said ‘Girls Can Do Anything!’ and I looked at it everyday. It was above the closet in my childhood bedroom, and sometimes I tried to jump and touch it but I was too short. Instead of thinking, ‘Well, I can’t do that!’ I focused on the things I could do. I discovered you can find out more about yourself that way, and since I love to learn, every day becomes a chance to discover something.I discovered I’m good at problem solving, especially if it means a chance for including other people in an interesting discourse. I am also a motivator which is why I tend to gravitate to positions in my work history that put me in the position to help other people: sales, management, operations, assistant, physiotherapist. Pertinent side note -- wearing many hats over the course of my career history gives me a multi-dimensional perspective on any new venture I try.I also have many passions, including fine arts, music, horses (well, animals in general), learning, teaching, helping, cooking (eating), laughing, traveling and sharing a good conversation. I get passion empathy when I speak with someone who talks about their passion. I once found an hour-long conversation about editing legal documents fascinating.
