My name is Corey Bryan. I am currently a first year in the Physical Therapy Doctorate program at Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond, Virginia. I went to Virginia Tech and received my  Bachelor's of Science in Biochemistry and Psychology. Upon graduating from Virginia Tech, I worked in a diagnostic genetics lab. However I had always wanted to get into brain research, so after a year of working in the genetics lab I moved and started a job in a neuroscience lab at the George Washington University in Washington D.C.. I worked in the lab for five years researching DiGeorge Syndrome (22q11.2 Deletion Syndrome) before switching career paths and starting the DPT program at VCU.Outside of the classroom I have a 1.5 year old rescue dog I adopted a year ago who takes up most of my time. Also, I am a big sports fan. I enjoy watching soccer, ice hockey and football. I also love doing anything outdoors, from hiking to camping and backpacking. Finally, I'm a big traveler. I have been to over 15 different countries on five continents and a life goal of mine is to eventually make it to all seven continents.
