My brother was working at Syfan Logistics and encouraged me to apply. I was hired on to work the night shift on weekends for their Automotive department, which oversaw loads with General Motors and Ford, and was the sole coordinator for Ford on Weekend Nights. I worked this shift till August 2023 when I then moved to Weekday Nights, which is my current position. I still work in our Ford department. Working as a Logistics Coordinator at Syfan for the Ford Department means I overlook all active loads we have with Ford. We have multiple dedicated lanes that ship to various plants, with our main locations being Louisville Assembly Plant, Ohio Assembly Plant, Flat Rock Assembly Plant, Kentucky Truck Plant, and Kansas City Assembly Plant. We also run dedicated Mexico lanes, along with expedited projects with RXO for Mexico shipments. All loads are Monitored on McLeod, and Ford sends yard reports over email on Excel to coordinate loaded and empty trailers for our drop and hook lanes.

I moved from Online Grocery Pickup to the Meat Department. I was given the same duties as I had at my time with The Market on Limestone: audit the truck, unload in the back room and restock items. I also did this same job in the Produce Department when they needed help.

Toccoa’s Walmart was launching its Online Grocery Department, and the hired managers for the position reached out to me to get hired on for its launch. We did a month of planning from February to March, and then once it launched I was dedicated to being a dispenser. I was a dispenser for 2 years and was the one that organized the back room. I created a system of organizing by “staging” orders under steel racks by putting laminated cards on the steel that held them, and with a dry erase marker I would notate what orders were in that section of steel. This organization was then adopted by management and eventually became a feature of the app we used to stage items.

After The Market on Limestone went out of business, I reapplied to work at Walmart. I was hired onto Cap 2. Every day I started out by unloading the truck with my fellow associates, and then restocking aisle 8-9. After this, I would zone it then move on to the next aisle to help someone else.

I was offered a job at J & J Foods when their Limestone location was going independent and rebranding to The Market on Limestone. I was hired as a Deli/Bakery associate, and I oversaw all stocking for both departments. My day started out getting the order forms for that days truck, auditing what we received and marking what we didn’t receive then signing off and handing it to receiving. I would then down stack our pallets and separate them to each department, then put them in their respective freezer/refrigerators. I would then scout the floor and create a list of items that needed to be restocked, along with checking dates as I went. I had a notebook dedicated to cataloging and organizing all items on the floor and the dates that they would expire so that I would know exactly when I would need to rotate stock. After rotating the stock and notating items needed for restock, I would start at the Deli and restock those items, then move to the Bakery and repeat. This store closed its doors on May 2018.

In September of 2016, I moved from Produce Associate to Overnight Stocker. I was assigned a department every night, and this ranged from Hardware, Pets and Furniture. At the last hour of my shift, I was to zone aisle 9-12 on grocery.
