Aircraft Rescue Firefighter at Bradley International Airport

Maintain all Fire equipment and apparatus. Continuous training on fire suppression and urban search and rescue techniques under hazmat conditions. Teach new soldiers on equipment and apparatus. Come up with new ideas for training. Trained in various disciplines such as Safety, Leadership, Teamwork and Medical. Continuous physical training to keep within the standards of the US Army.

Protects life and property by providing assistance, emergency aid, and fire prevention duties, leadership and scene command. Maintains fire equipment and facilities. Performs firefighting tasks including; vehicle extractions, handling traffic to assist paramedics, containment and extinguishment, training of new fire fighters, supervision of fire fighters. Ready to take command at the scene of any incident that we may respond to. Time commitment is 5-10 hours per week.

Cannon crew member / Ammo Team Chief. Responsible for safety, ammunition preparation and Radios. Weapons Team Team Leader. Responsible for the training of Four Weapons Team members. Enforced policies and safety programs, supervised training, and under crisis conditions assisted in developing special programs as the situation requires. Trained in various disciplines such as Safety, Leadership, Teamwork, Weapons and Medical. Accomplishments:• Promoted to Weapons Team Leader after 1st tour in Iraq.• Received multiple medals and awards for service and performance.• Honorably discharged as a Decorated United States Army Veteran.
